DISCLAIMERS.

This Policy attempts to provide as much transparency as possible in regard to disclosing the amount of information on how we collect, use, and manage users' data.

CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.

We DO collect the following:

  • App Activity: Activities related to your browsing or usage, such as date and time of visit, approximate location origin of visit, device type, OS, resolution, and browser.

ADVERTISEMENTS.

Both website and mobile applications do NOT have advertisements. We do not have display ads or any 3rd party paid affiliates.

TARGET AUDIENCE AND CONTENT.

Both website and mobile applications are targeted for ages 13 and over. We provide educational language learning exercises on various grammar topics.

HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION OR DATA.

We may use your activity usage for the following purposes:

  • Feedback: To improve user experience based on feedback.
  • Testing: For research and analysis of user behavior.

SHARING PERSONAL INFORMATION.

We share the following with 3rd parties for business purposes. The general categories include:

  • App Activity: On the website, screen-view and related technical data may be processed by Google Analytics. Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech process data as needed to provide accounts, synchronization, deletion, and audio features. We do not sell personal information.

CHANGES AND AMENDMENTS.

We may update this Policy as the service changes. We will publish the revised Policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by applicable law.

Registration & Sign-In.

We use Firebase Authentication to create and sign you in. When you register or log in, we receive and store:

  • Email address: Used to identify your account and contact you for support.

Engagement Data (Likes).

When you tap “like” on an exercise, we may use that action for improving the service.

  • How we use it: To show your likes, compute like counts, surface popular content, and improve content quality.

Learning Progress.

Grammar Lab stores exercise identifiers, attempts, correct-answer counts, mastery levels, and recent-result timestamps. Guest progress is stored on your device. If you register, progress is associated with your Firebase user ID and synchronized through Cloud Firestore. We do not store the text you type into exercise answer fields as part of your progress record.

Local Storage and Audio Cache.

The app stores your language selections, theme, guest or account-specific learning progress, migration status, and certain dismissed-message preferences on your device. Generated audio may be cached locally to improve playback and reduce repeated requests. You can remove device data by clearing browser or app storage or uninstalling the app.

Text-to-Speech and Anonymous Sessions.

When uncached pronunciation audio is requested, Firebase may create an anonymous user identifier. The lesson text, language, voice, and audio settings are sent to our Cloud Function and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech to generate audio. We store a daily request count and last-use timestamp under the Firebase user identifier to enforce usage limits. We do not send your typed exercise answers to Text-to-Speech.

Data Retention and Account Deletion.

We retain registered-account information and synchronized learning data while your account is active or as needed to provide and secure the service. Registered users can select Delete Account in the Account screen. This removes the Firebase Authentication account, synchronized Grammar Lab progress, exercise likes, TTS usage records, and account-specific local progress. Device preferences and separate guest data may remain until app or browser storage is cleared. Anonymous TTS identifiers and usage records may remain until they are administratively removed. You may contact us for privacy or deletion assistance.
